Systems Engineer

Our user-to-engineer ratio has been comfortably over a million to one for the past year, and we're looking to keep it that way. That's where you come in. We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team and help support our rapid growth. Your understanding of highly-scalable web technologies will be critical to our long-term success.

The 3 principle goals of a formspring systems engineer:

  1. Keep the site up and 100% available for the end user.
  2. Make the lives of the development team pain-free.
  3. Build a robust infrastructure free of single points of failure. 

What we currently use:

Debian (migrating off Centos), PHP, Python, Clojure, MySQL/RDS, Apache, Redis, Cassandra, Riak, Memcached, Kestrel, Nginx, Haproxy, Nagios, Mercurial, Zenoss, Monit, Postfix, and probably some other odds and ends. All hosted high in the sky on AWS.
