Lead Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who's passionate about delivering great products and beautiful code. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers building a scalable social platform for millions of users. You'll shape and help guide the software development life cycle and make sure engineers have the best tools at their disposal. This includes establishing and reviewing our processes for source control, code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and bug tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex web applications and REST-based web services
• Mentor other developers on coding practices, sdlc, product development, and career growth
• Work closely with product and design leads to define and deliver compelling new features
• Work closely with infrastructure leads to build software that can scale

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a lead engineer strongly preferred
• Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Intimate knowledge of the LAMP stack
• Large-scale design expertise
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructures, preferrably AWS
• Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus
• Previous social networking experience is highly preferred
• Sense of humor is a must
